Amanda arrived in small town America to pick up her half brother, whom she’s never met, & who is developmentally disabled. She doesn’t want to be there, doesn’t want to take responsibility for Greg, yet doesn’t want to be back in Miami where her mother micromanages her life.

Her mother has picked out a man for her to marry, but the catch is she has to get rid of Greg. Unwilling to do her mother’s bidding, she stays on caring for Greg, & falling for local cop Max.
There’s a good heroine’s journey here, as Amanda grows up to take on adult roles, and realizes that a man who cares for her brother is worth his weight in gold.

I liked these three, and will look for more, because it looks like this is a series.
